In its basic form, PerfectFlow is functionally both a fluid containment device as well as a fluid transfer device. PerfectFlow is fully scalable from less than a milliliter in capacity to greater than 1.6 kiloliters. PerfectFlow's materials of construction range from mild steel to stainless steel to composites. The PerfectFlow system has a sealed fluid containment and a viscous material ingress and egress opening. An internal piston, the force element, is within the fluid containment. Pressure applied to the force element is pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical, and is the motive force to dispense the viscous material. The PerfectFlow system is self-powered, high speed, and contamination free.
While the above example depicts a bottom fill/bottom discharge configuration, there is also a top fill/top discharge configuration. In the top fill/top discharge configuration, the force element (piston) includes a central hole and an internal fill/discharge tube runs from the top to the bottom of the container through the piston.
